Driving Ms. Crazy

Last week, my mom called me and asked me to take her to run some errands, since she really shouldn't drive any longer. So I high-tailed it across town and picked her up. We went to Walmart, the cleaners and to her bank. On the way back from Wally World, I stopped at the intersection where she always insists I turn left to go into my sister's neighborhood.

"It's got a left turn signal. Use this one!"

But, this particular intersection's usually pretty clogged up with cars, and I just wait and wait for our little green arrow on most days.

On this particular day, Ms. Crazy said, "There are no cars out today. I wonder what happened."

Looking straight ahead, I simply responded, "The rapture. We were left behind."

P.S. I know they'd take her. I'd be sitting in the car alone!
